About the position

The Transportation Driver position at Toyota Material Handling Solutions involves operating heavy haul vehicles to transport forklifts and other heavy equipment. The role requires a focus on customer service, safety, and compliance with regulations while performing various duties in the Operations Department.

Responsibilities

• Haul forklifts and other heavy equipment to and from locations.
• Load/unload equipment.
• Safely secure equipment for transport.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Manage routes and routines to proceed in the most efficient way possible.
• Accurately complete required paperwork, including bill of lading and logbooks.
• Conduct daily inspections of vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and Company safety programs.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Three (3) years' experience of heavy equipment hauling required.
• Two (2) to three (3) years' working knowledge of forklift operation preferred.
• Must possess valid Class A CDL from the state of California.
• Must have a clean DMV record, with no traffic convictions defined by FMCSA that would disqualify a CDL.
