About The Position
The Transportation Engineer 1 - Design position at the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) involves working under the supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer to gain comprehensive experience in various engineering functions. The role includes participating in a work-based training program that rotates through different work units such as Construction, Highway Management, and Planning & Engineering. The engineer will perform tasks that facilitate operational efficiency, ensure compliance with project specifications, and develop professional relationships within the department and with external stakeholders.
