Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of hydraulic systems for transportation projects.
• Engage in marketing efforts and project pursuits to expand the department's reach.
• Lead task teams in the design of roadway hydraulic components under the guidance of Project Managers.
• Handle complex technical challenges autonomously.
• Mentor and guide junior colleagues in their professional development.
• Oversee the efforts of engineers and technicians to ensure project success.
• Collaborate with various disciplines to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience in hydraulic and drainage design.
• Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SCDOT processes and guidelines.
• Familiarity with roadway hydraulic design, including ditches and storm sewer systems.
• Experience with bridge and culvert design using FHWA guidelines.
• Knowledge of stormwater system design and permitting for various roadway types.
• Proficiency in Microstation CADD, Geopak Drainage Software, and OpenRoads Designer.
