About the position

The Transportation Engineer position at Actalent involves designing and developing transportation infrastructure projects that enhance mobility and improve community infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, and public transit systems.
  • Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for land and site development projects.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Perform traffic analysis and modeling to improve traffic flow and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Conduct field inspections to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation or land/site development projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
  • Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining it.
