About the position

The Transportation Engineering Project Manager will lead multiple transportation projects for MDOT, focusing on project management, business development, and mentoring within a collaborative work environment. This role requires extensive experience in MDOT design and a commitment to maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects, prepare and monitor budgets, project scheduling, etc.
• Perform business development to maintain and grow our relationship with the MDOT clients and teaming partners
• Participate at MDOT workshops, meetings, and events
• Mentor Senior Project Managers, or other Project Managers, in developing work scopes, budgets, and staff assignments
• Provide support and project lead for planning, design, and reporting on various transportation projects
• Manage project teams, schedules, and budgets for various projects, primarily for MDOT.

Requirements

• 15+ years of MDOT design experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
• Willingness to travel throughout Michigan for business development and project meetings
• Comfortable speaking at client and public events
