About the position

The Transportation & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing logistics operations, managing teams, and ensuring the successful execution of transportation and distribution strategies. This role involves leadership, planning, execution, and collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs while maintaining high service levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage assignment of key responsibilities to promote teamwork and achieve business results.
• Develop logistics programs to support internal and external business partners.
• Create metrics and reports to monitor performance of logistics and third-party providers.
• Align projects with the outsourcing strategy for global logistics providers.
• Manage resource plans and financial plans for various initiatives.
• Prepare and communicate changes in policies and practices to business partners and teams.
• Negotiate with suppliers and customers to ensure effective partnerships.
• Implement programs to reduce logistics costs through optimization and provider consolidation.
• Coordinate and control programs impacting order cycles and information systems.
• Ensure organizational priorities are communicated effectively to supply chain partners.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience negotiating, budgeting, and managing relationships with third-party logistics providers.
• 2 years of client management/customer care experience.
• 2 years of experience developing outsourcing strategies.
• 2 years of experience implementing warehouse and inventory systems.
• 2 years of team management experience.
• 2 years of project management experience.
• 1 year of strategic planning experience.
