About the position

The Route Manager Trainee (RMT) training program at Waste Management is designed to prepare individuals for the role of frontline Route Managers. The training will cover essential skills such as increasing financial profitability, maximizing operational efficiency, improving customer satisfaction, and leading teams effectively. Candidates must be open to relocating within a specified geographic area upon completion of the training program. As part of the program, trainees will develop their skills through consistent touchpoints with frontline employees, regular reviews of best practices, and partnerships with Drivers and Technicians to enhance job-related skills. The program also includes a comprehensive training curriculum that must be completed alongside other assigned training tasks.
