About the position

The Transportation Operations Specialist will serve as the real-time, in-person human point of contact for company employee riders at designated areas. This role focuses on providing a welcoming experience for passengers, ensuring safety, and assisting with service disruptions or emergencies. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold a safety-centric, inclusive and open-communication culture.
  • Greet passengers and provide them with a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Authenticate riders via badge scanners.
  • Hail company vehicles back and forth between locations.
  • Communicate with cross-ops partners via vehicle slack threads.
  • Perform light crowd control.
  • Provide service status communications.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, retail or another customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused with a strong commitment to providing a positive experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
  • Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
  • Willingness to work flexible shift hours and locations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in high-stress situations, including knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
