The Agency of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Operations Technician II to join our dedicated team in Cambridge, Vermont. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our highways. The technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential for highway maintenance, including but not limited to repairing guardrails, cutting trees and brush, patching roads, picking up litter, and performing ditching operations. During the winter months, the responsibilities of this position expand to include assisting with snow plowing and salting operations. This is a critical time for our agency, and the technician must be prepared to work considerable overtime during heavy snowfall or other emergencies.
