About the position

The Logistics Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for logistics resources across America to support the company's business needs. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and managing partnerships with last-mile service providers, intercontinental fleets, and warehousing suppliers, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost reduction to drive company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement logistics procurement plans based on business demands.
  • Create project-based resource procurement plans and coordinate with last-mile service providers and local intercontinental fleets.
  • Identify and procure high-quality local warehousing resources aligned with business needs.
  • Optimize the existing intercontinental supplier pool by regularly assessing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier performance.
  • Introduce new, high-quality capacity resources, negotiating competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
  • Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of various last-mile and trucking service providers, and maintain a reliable supplier pool.
  • Develop procurement management systems, workflows, and assessment standards as per company guidelines.
  • Oversee on-site implementation of procurement systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on market trends in logistics capacity and pricing, sharing insights with the team and adjusting resource strategies accordingly.
  • Partner with internal teams to align logistics capacity with operational goals and optimize resources based on quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years in international logistics and warehousing, with a focus on capacity procurement and supplier management.
  • Prior experience managing last-mile service providers and trucking resources.
  • Proven supplier procurement, management, and assessment skills, with excellent negotiation and coordination abilities.
  • Deep understanding of market capacity conditions, pricing structures, and procurement strategies.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead complex, project-based work independently.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese.

Nice-to-haves

  • E-commerce logistics and warehousing experience is a strong plus.
