About the position

The Transportation Project Manager will lead a variety of complex transportation projects aimed at improving mobility and accessibility in the communities served by Fehr & Peers. This role involves collaborating with public and private sector clients, managing projects from inception to completion, and providing technical expertise while fostering strong relationships. The position emphasizes work-life balance and offers flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively lead a variety of projects, including traffic and transit simulation, campus plans, multimodal corridor studies, transportation impact studies, bicycle and pedestrian studies, and regional transportation plans.
  • Analyze and solve complex transportation planning or engineering problems involving all travel modes.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely using strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Make effective, timely and informed recommendations to elected officials, managers, and decision-makers.
  • Develop and expand high-quality internal and client relationships.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in transportation, civil engineering, urban and regional planning, or a related major (e.g., geography, math, statistics, economics).
  • 3 - 8 years of directly relevant work experience in transportation planning, operations analysis, engineering, or related fields.
  • Excellent technical writing and public speaking skills.
  • Experience with project management and marketing.
  • Professional license (highly desirable).
  • Willingness to travel to other geographic markets, on occasion.
