About the position

The Transportation/Purchasing Manager at Warren County School District is responsible for overseeing all aspects of student transportation and supporting the purchasing process. This full-time role requires effective management skills and the ability to work independently under the direction of the Director of Business Services. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Pennsylvania School Code and maintain a high level of customer service while managing transportation software and bus contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of student transportation.
• Support the purchasing process for the school district.
• Manage transportation software to meet reporting needs.
• Develop and manage bus contracts.
• Maintain financial records and develop budgets.
• Provide positive customer service to stakeholders.
• Attend meetings of the Board of School Directors as required.

Requirements

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania School Code related to transportation and purchasing.
• Ability to function as an administrator and independently as a manager.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to complete professional development and training.
• Proficiency in standard productivity software (spreadsheets, word processing).
• Knowledge of financial record-keeping and budget development.
• Valid PA driver's license.
• Familiarity with the local area.
• Flexibility in work schedule based on weather conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees outside of the department.
