About the position
Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) are responsible for providing security and protection of travelers across all transportation sectors in a courteous and professional manner. Their duties may also extend to securing high-profile events, important figures, and anything that includes or impacts our transportation systems. TSOs play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the nation's transportation infrastructure, which includes airports, railways, and other transit systems. They are trained to identify potential threats and respond effectively to various security situations, ensuring that all travelers can move freely and safely. The role requires a commitment to public service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure. TSOs must maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity while interacting with the public and other stakeholders. Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
