About the position

The Transportation Supervisor at LYNC Transportation Services LLC plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing school and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services. This position involves overseeing daily operations, scheduling routes, and ensuring that all transportation services are conducted safely and efficiently. The Supervisor will lead a team of drivers, optimize transportation routes, maintain fleet safety compliance, and engage with stakeholders to address concerns and improve service quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of drivers, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
• Lead monthly meetings and employee training to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Monitor driver performance and provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations.
• Plan, organize, and assign schedules for the transportation team.
• Conduct driver ride-along evaluations and inspections of drivers and vehicles.
• Process new route/trip requests and create efficient transportation routes.
• Continuously optimize routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption.
• Implement a maintenance schedule for fleet vehicles to ensure safety and optimal working condition.
• Develop comprehensive emergency response plans for various scenarios.
• Maintain open communication with parents, school administrators, and transportation team members.
• Analyze transportation-related data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement
• 5+ years of professional driving experience
• 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Clean driving history with no accidents in the last 7 years
• 5+ years of route management experience
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
• Expertise in route planning and optimization
• Thorough understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety management
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in managing data systems and strong data analysis skills
• Customer service orientation
