About the position

The Trauma Associate Sales Representative will support the Trauma Sales team in the Detroit West, MI area by managing installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer in-service for Trauma Orthopaedics products. This role involves building relationships with surgeons and hospital personnel, providing technical support, and assisting in sales efforts to meet territory quotas. The position requires a commitment to a 24/7 on-call schedule and aims to enhance patient outcomes through effective product use and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Trauma Sales team with installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of products.
• Manage demo inventory setup and customer in-service.
• Transport customer inventory between accounts and cover surgical cases for sales reps.
• Study technical information and surgical procedures related to Trauma Orthopaedics products.
• Assist and train surgeons and hospital personnel on product use and care.
• Collaborate with Smith+Nephew Trauma Sales Representatives to support a 24/7 on-call schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years sales experience.
• Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products or as an EMS/Paramedic.
• Proven track record of selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level.
• Experience leading/mentoring team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in orthopedic sales.
• Strong technical knowledge of Trauma Orthopaedics products.
