The Trauma/Burn Quality and Research Analyst is a critical role within Regional One Health, primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with the American College of Surgeons (ACS), American Burn Association (ABA), and state regulatory standards for trauma and burn registry data. This remote position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Health Information Management or Computer Science, along with a minimum of three years of experience in trauma data analysis and coding. The analyst will prepare statistical and analytical reports to ensure compliance with outlined standards and will routinely review metrics to identify areas for improvement. In this role, the analyst will serve as the primary contact for quality reporting issues with various regulatory bodies, including the State of Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB), and the Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP). Responsibilities include analyzing data for validity and compliance, coordinating data analysis for performance improvement, research, and administrative activities, and preparing high-quality presentation graphs and reports. The analyst will also maintain a streamlined process for trauma and burn data report requests and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for the release of information, including HIPAA and IRB research requests. The Trauma/Burn Quality and Research Analyst will collaborate with medical staff, the Health Information Management (HIM) department, EMS services, and other external data sources to implement registry activities while promoting patient satisfaction. This position also involves maintaining required continuing education units (CEUs) for certifications annually and participating in collaborative state projects related to trauma and burn data management.
