The Trauma-Informed Family Time Worker at Smith Agency is a full-time role focused on providing compassionate support to families during visitation. The worker will engage directly with families, ensuring they understand program expectations while documenting progress and collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed coaching and support during family time.
• Use evidence-based techniques to improve parent-child interactions.
• Assess families' needs and strengths, along with developing appropriate goals and interventions.
• Assist with family orientation to the program and ensure all participants understand program expectations.
• Write comprehensive assessments, progress notes, and other program documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with supervisors and other team members.
• Transportation to and from visits.

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Strong ability to engage and build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be a team player and work autonomously as needed.
• Commitment to delivering trauma-informed care and staying current with best practices in the field.
