About the position

The Trauma Program Manager will oversee the care of critically injured patients, ensuring optimal treatment and compliance with trauma care standards. This role involves developing and implementing patient care plans, maintaining trauma registry records, and leading educational programs for staff. The manager will also engage in departmental planning and quality improvement initiatives, reporting directly to the Associate Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical practice and care of critically injured patients.
• Maintain trauma registry and generate Quality Improvement reports.
• Develop and deliver educational programs for staff involved in trauma care.
• Monitor patient progress during hospitalization.
• Manage day-to-day trauma services operations, including staffing, budgeting, and leadership.
• Actively engage in departmental planning and quality improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with standards and best practices in trauma care.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
• ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• PALS certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification within 6 months of hire (Instructor certification preferred).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Emergency or Critical Care nursing.
