Responsibilities

• Assist in the promotion of optimal care for critically injured patients.
• Demonstrate professional competency in the nursing process.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate care for trauma patients.
• Maintain records of the trauma registry and its Quality Improvement reports.
• Develop and conduct educational programs for personnel involved in trauma care.
• Monitor patients' clinical progress during hospitalization.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of trauma services.
• Participate in staffing, budgetary planning, leadership, and quality improvement of the department.

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• PMP certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Critical care experience of 2-5 years
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 6 months of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of hire (Instructor preferred)
