About the position

The Trauma Program Manager at Doctors Medical Center is responsible for promoting optimal care for critically injured patients. This role involves overseeing clinical practice, maintaining trauma registry records, and implementing educational programs for staff involved in trauma care. The manager will also monitor patient progress, manage day-to-day operations of trauma services, and participate in staffing, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the promotion of optimal care within Doctors Medical Center.
• Demonstrate professional competency in the nursing process.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate care for critically injured patients.
• Maintain records of the trauma registry and its Quality Improvement reports.
• Develop and implement educational programs for personnel involved in trauma care.
• Monitor patient's clinical progress during hospitalization.
• Manage day-to-day operations of trauma services.
• Participate in staffing, budgetary planning, leadership, and quality improvement of the department.

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• ENPC within 6 months of hire
• TNCC within 6 months of hire (Instructor preferred)
• Three to five years of Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred.
