About the position

The Trauma Program Manager at HonorHealth is responsible for leading and managing trauma services at the assigned site. This role involves collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and other stakeholders to enhance trauma care quality, safety, and patient experience. The manager will develop, implement, and evaluate trauma programs to ensure compliance with certification standards, while also fostering a multi-disciplinary approach to care management. The position requires strong leadership skills to drive performance improvement initiatives and maintain effective relationships with medical staff and departments.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Trauma Medical Director and stakeholders to advance trauma care.
  • Provide clinical, programmatic, and administrative direction for trauma services.
  • Lead the development and execution of initiatives to improve quality, safety, and patient experience.
  • Ensure evidence-based patient care by promoting research in practice.
  • Develop and evaluate trauma programs to maintain certification standards set by the American College of Surgeons.
  • Formulate and implement strategies for short- and long-term results in trauma services.
  • Organize and lead the development of standardized care management processes and protocols.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with physicians and ancillary departments.
  • Direct the use of performance data to plan program improvements.
  • Monitor care outcomes using clinical registries and dashboards.
  • Coordinate procurement and supply chain efforts for new trauma technologies.
  • Assist in the implementation of clinical studies and manage administrative resources for the trauma program.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage employee performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of experience in trauma, emergency department, or critical care nursing.
  • Valid RN License (State and/or Compact State Licensure).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 180 days of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with clinical registries and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with trauma care standards and compliance requirements.
