About the position

The Trauma Program Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of the Trauma Center, Trauma Clinic, and Trauma Registry at a San Francisco Bay Area Medical Center. This role involves managing a team of trauma nurses and collaborating with various medical professionals to ensure high-quality trauma care and program development.

Responsibilities

• Direct all clinical and operational aspects of the Trauma Center, Trauma Clinic, and Trauma Registry.
• Oversee the 24-hour supervision of the Trauma Departments.
• Manage hiring, retention, and performance of trauma nursing staff.
• Create and implement performance and safety improvement procedures.
• Handle business development and budget structuring.
• Manage supply chain operations for the Trauma Program.
• Collaborate with Trauma Surgeons, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Physician Assistants, and nursing staff.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Experience in trauma nursing and management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of trauma care protocols and procedures.
• Ability to develop and implement clinical programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Trauma Nursing (TCRN).
• Experience with budget management and supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies.
