About the position

The Trauma Program Registrar is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Trauma Registry operations, including data collection, entry, retrieval, quality assurance, analysis, and statistical conversion. This role ensures compliance with state and regional regulatory agencies to maintain the hospital's accreditation as a Verified Trauma Center, adhering to the latest guidelines from the American College of Surgeons.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all components of Trauma Registry operations.
  • Collect, enter, and retrieve trauma data.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Analyze trauma data and perform statistical conversions.
  • Interact with state and regional regulatory agencies to provide required data for hospital accreditation.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Health Information Technology/Management or completion of a relevant correspondence course.
  • Commensurate Trauma Registry experience, such as completion of the American Trauma Society Registry Course or AIS Scoring Course.
  • Intermediate computer skills for data input, spreadsheet creation, and database applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with trauma registry software.
