About the position

Aya Healthcare is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse for an immediate opening in Pueblo, CO. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a cardiac catheterization lab, focusing on diagnostic and interventional procedures. The position offers a competitive pay rate and a 13-week assignment with a structured shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab.
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures.
• Administer emergency medications and procedural sedation.
• Perform various catheterization techniques and interventions.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• At least one year of experience in a Cath Lab setting
• Proficiency in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab procedures
• Experience with Cardiac Stent Placement and Diagnostic Catheterizations
• Knowledge of Impella insertion and Left heart catheterization
• Ability to perform Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal
• Experience with Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Familiarity with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Experience in Right heart catheterization and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
• Knowledge of Emergency Medications and Reversal agents
• Ability to start IVs and monitor Procedural Sedation
• Familiarity with Activated Clotting Time (ACT) and Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale
• Proficient in 12 Lead EKG and Cardioversion.
