About the position
Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist to assist with catheterization of the heart and other electrophysiology procedures in Schenectady, New York. This role involves working in an operating room or cardiac cath lab, preparing equipment, assisting surgeons, monitoring patient vitals, and maintaining sterile conditions. The position is a travel job with a duration of 13 weeks, requiring 40 hours of work per week on 10-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist with catheterization of the heart and electrophysiology procedures.
- Prepare equipment for procedures.
- Assist surgeons during procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals throughout the procedures.
- Help maintain sterile conditions in the operating room or cath lab.
- Care for patients undergoing angioplasty, stent implantation, ablation, and fluoroscopy.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience as a cardiac cath lab technologist.
- ARRT Certification.
- BLS Certification (AHA).
- Current state license.
