About the position

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail General Manager to oversee our high-volume retail facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for the generation and execution of travel center and restaurant business plans to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives, as well as customer satisfaction. The Retail General Manager will ensure that customer expectations are met and will conduct meetings with subordinate employees to maintain effective vendor relationships. You will be tasked with building, coaching, managing, and developing teams from a staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training standpoint. This position requires a strong focus on driving sales, managing team members, tracking inventory, providing excellent customer service, and performing P&L analysis. As a Retail General Manager for Pilot Flying J, you will exemplify integrity and accountability at the managerial level while demonstrating excellent team leadership skills. You must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, days, weekends, and holidays. The role demands a proactive approach to creating and maintaining a customer-focused culture within the team, ensuring that all operations align with the company's values and objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment that encourages team collaboration and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated integrity and accountability at the managerial level.
  • Excellent team leadership skills.
