About the position

Aya Healthcare is seeking a Critical Care Float Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Seattle, WA. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in critical care settings, managing complex patient needs, and ensuring effective communication with healthcare teams. Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in various settings.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including insulin protocols and vasoactive drips.
• Assist with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients.
• Perform phlebotomy and manage surgical wounds with drains.
• Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions.

Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• At least one year of experience in critical care nursing.
• Proficient in managing dysrhythmias and post-cardiac surgery care.
• Experience with pulmonary artery line monitoring and PICC line management.
• Ability to perform procedural sedation administration and titrate cardiac drips.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with BiPAP and CPAP management.
• Knowledge of ABG interpretation and suctioning techniques.
