About the position

Health Carousel - Travel Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Winchester, Virginia. This position is designed for allied health professionals who are looking for a rewarding travel assignment. The role involves working as a CT Technologist, where you will be responsible for performing computed tomography scans and ensuring the highest quality of imaging for diagnostic purposes. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support the medical staff in delivering accurate diagnoses. The position is expected to start on August 5, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The shifts will be 12 hours long, primarily during the day, allowing for a structured work schedule while enjoying the benefits of travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography (CT) scans on patients as per physician orders.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
• Maintain and operate CT equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate imaging results.
• Document patient information and imaging results in the medical records system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students in CT procedures.

Requirements

• Valid CT Technologist license and certification.
• Experience in performing CT scans and operating CT equipment.
• Strong understanding of imaging protocols and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
