About the position

Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Winchester, Virginia. The role involves using computed tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images, ensuring patient care, and maintaining accurate records. This position is ideal for individuals with at least one year of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Appropriately position patients for scanning specific areas of their bodies.
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance visibility of internal organs and tissues.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS certification.
• ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography is required.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
