Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Winchester, Virginia. This position is designed for a CT Tech who is ready to take on a 13-week assignment, working 36 hours per week with 12-hour evening shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in the field and will be responsible for utilizing computed tomography to ensure accurate imaging for medical interpretation by physicians. The role involves preparing and caring for patients undergoing CT scans, confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining procedures to patients to provide reassurance and support. As a CT Tech, you will be tasked with interpreting doctors' written instructions, positioning patients correctly for scans, and using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues. You will also administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of these organs and evaluate the quality of CT scans. Following safety procedures when working with radiation and maintaining accurate patient records are also critical components of this role. Familiarity with the McKesson PACS system is required to ensure efficient management of imaging data. This position offers a unique opportunity to earn additional bonuses, including a $10,000 bonus after completing five assignments, and up to 15 weeks of vacation. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
