MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Winchester, Virginia. This position is designed for a qualified CT Tech to join our team for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients. The role requires the technologist to operate CT equipment that produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues, which are essential for diagnosing medical conditions. The CT Technologist will be responsible for positioning patients for CT scans, using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary, and setting the controls of the related equipment while monitoring both the equipment and the patient. Adjustments must be made as necessary to ensure optimal imaging results. In addition to operating the equipment, the CT Technologist will assist radiologists with imaging procedures, which may include starting IVs and injecting contrast when applicable. They will also dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans and assist with interventional CT procedures. Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images in the correct sequence, and appropriately labeling them are also key responsibilities. The technologist will schedule patients for procedures, assist with clerical functions, charge procedures and supplies to the patient record, and load and operate power injections for contrast media administration. The role emphasizes delivering quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner while maintaining a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives. This position is a travel role, requiring flexibility and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have at least eighteen months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Tech and must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified, with most states requiring licensure. The start date for this position is ASAP, with a duration of 13 weeks and a commitment of 36 hours per week, typically on 12-hour day shifts.
