About the position
Aya Healthcare is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room, utilizing advanced surgical skills and certifications. Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room.
- Assist in various surgical procedures including lobe resection, thoracotomy, and laparoscopic assisted procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required.
- At least one year of experience in a CVOR or similar setting.
- Proficient in a variety of surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and total joint replacement.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with advanced surgical techniques such as craniotomy and kyphoplasty.
- Familiarity with the clinical ladder program for RNs.
