About the position

Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic travel Echo Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer) for a 13-week contract assignment in Bridgton, Maine. The role involves conducting multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations and requires a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a friendly and professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures.
• Works under the direction of the Manager, Ultrasound Services, Medical Director of Vascular Laboratory, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology.
• Collaborates with experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program.

Requirements

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
• National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent if applicable.
• State license by the regulatory agency if applicable.
• Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty (RVT/RCS/RDCS) required within 18 months of hire if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1-2 years of experience.
• Effective communication and human relations skills, with the ability to analyze data and solve problems.
• Completed AHA ACLS Provider Course within 12 months of employment required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.

• Skilled Nursing experience preferred
• Experience in psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic preferred.
