About the position

Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic travel Echo Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer) for a 13-week contract assignment in Salisbury, Maryland. The role involves conducting multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations and requires effective communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety, along with compassion and sensitivity in their approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conducts multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures.
• Works under the direction of the Manager, Ultrasound Services, Medical Director of Vascular Laboratory, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology.
• Collaborates with experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program.

Requirements

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
• National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent if applicable.
• State license by the regulatory agency if applicable.
• Advance certification by an accrediting body in specialty (RVT/RCS/RDCS) required within 18 months of hire if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in a relevant field.
• Effective communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
• Completed AHA ACLS Provider Course within 12 months of employment required.

Nice-to-haves

• CCRN preferred
• Skilled Nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic.
