About the position
The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies and other non-invasive cardiac procedures as directed by physicians within the Cardiac Diagnostics Department. This role requires proficiency in pediatric echocardiography and the ability to work collaboratively with other Echo Technologists, including participating in a rotating call schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality echocardiographic studies as ordered by physicians.
- Conduct other non-invasive cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Diagnostics Department.
- Perform Pediatric Echo unassisted.
- Participate in a rotating call schedule with other Echo Techs.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or CCI as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
- Ability to perform Pediatric Echo unassisted.
- Experience with EPIC charting.
