Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
  • Float between different units as required by staffing needs.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating with the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
  • Participate in emergency response situations as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid New York RN license is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing is required.
  • AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH are mandatory.
  • Experience in critical care areas such as trauma, stroke, cardiac, and general medicine is essential.
  • Ability to float between units as needed.
  • Willingness to work every other weekend.
