About the position
The Electrical Superintendent will oversee the construction team, ensuring effective project management and resource allocation. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage schedules, budgets, and timelines while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
- Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
- Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary.
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Good computer skills and experience using project management software.
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure.
- Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
- Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
- Commercial and residential electrical experience required.
- Regional construction project management experience required.
- Knowledge of NEC and OSHA safety guidelines and regulations.
