About The Position
Aya Healthcare is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for an immediate opening in Patchogue, NY. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients in need. As an ER Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the emergency department. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care are met, while also providing support and education to patients and their families. This role requires a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in an emergency room setting and possess the required certifications, including ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors. Additionally, you should be skilled in interpreting ABGs, caring for ventilated patients, and adhering to isolation precautions and triage protocols. This position is a 13-week assignment with shifts scheduled for three 12-hour days from 07:00 to 19:30.
