Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents.
• Follows defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains a collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff.
• Maintains an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and inservice programs.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities and handles confidential information with discretion.

Requirements

• Successful completion of Practical Nursing Program.
• Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Two (2) years of LTC experience as an LPN with successful completion of supervised medication administration and written test.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and deal with the public in a professional manner.
