Epic Travel Staffing Allied is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel job in Bedford, Texas. This position is critical to Washington Radiology, as the Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. The individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique, ensuring outstanding care and efficient results that impact both the profitability of the organization and the patient experience. The Mammography Technologist will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, over a duration of 13 weeks. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience in the field, along with completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Candidates must hold current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, and possess ARRT advanced level certification in mammography or be MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible. Continuing education and experience as required by MQSA and ARRT are also necessary. In addition to the required certifications, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software, and eRad, as well as experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies. Prior quality control experience is preferred, and the ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology is essential. The position demands the ability to stand for long periods of time, reflecting the physical demands of the role.
