About the position
Supplemental Health Care is seeking a travel Medical Technologist to work in Jourdanton, Texas. This role involves performing lab tests on patient specimens to assist in the detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of diseases. The position is designed for both new and experienced Medical Technologists, offering a flexible contract duration of 13 weeks with the possibility of extension. The job requires working 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift, with a focus on providing high-quality healthcare services in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform lab tests on patient specimens to assist in detecting, diagnosing, and monitoring diseases.
- Collect samples of fluids, tissues, and other substances from patients.
- Test and analyze samples and discuss findings with physicians.
- Work standing for extended periods of time.
Requirements
- Must have American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification or American Medical Technologists (AMT) certification.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience as a Generalist, Blood Banking, Phlebotomy, Urinalysis, and Hematology.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized individual.
- Demonstrable familiarity with complex medical equipment.
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and irregular hours.
