About the position

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for contract assignments in Machias, Maine. This role involves performing lab tests on patient specimens to assist in the detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of diseases. The position requires working in a hospital setting with a focus on providing high-quality healthcare services. The Medical Technologist will work 12-hour night shifts, with a commitment to patient care and collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab tests on patient specimens to assist in detecting, diagnosing, and monitoring diseases.
• Collect samples of fluids, tissues, and other substances from patients.
• Test and analyze samples and discuss findings with physicians.
• Work standing for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• Must have American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification or American Medical Technologists (AMT) certification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a Generalist, Blood Banking, Phlebotomy, Urinalysis, Hematology.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized individual.
• Demonstrable familiarity with complex medical equipment.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and irregular hours.
