About the position

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a travel Medical Technologist to support hospitals in Lehigh Acres, Florida. This role involves performing lab tests on patient specimens to assist in the detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of diseases. The position is a travel job with a contract duration of 13 weeks, requiring 40 hours of work per week, typically in 8-hour shifts during the day. The Medical Technologist will receive support from dedicated recruiters throughout the job placement process.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab tests on patient specimens to assist in detecting, diagnosing, and monitoring diseases.
• Collect samples of fluids, tissues, and other substances from patients.
• Test and analyze samples and discuss findings with physicians.
• Work standing for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• Must have American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification or American Medical Technologists (AMT) certification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a Generalist, Blood Banking, Phlebotomy, Urinalysis, and Hematology.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized individual.
• Demonstrable familiarity with complex medical equipment.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and irregular hours.
