Focus Staff is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Boise, Idaho. The role is a contract assignment lasting 13 weeks, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, specifically 8-hour shifts during the day. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of MRI procedures and patient safety, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity in their interactions with patients. Critical thinking and the ability to act quickly in emergencies are essential traits for success in this role. As a travel MRI Technologist, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, you will perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care while utilizing efficient and safe processes. You will be responsible for performing patient studies according to set protocols, operating imaging devices, and ensuring patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients during procedures. Additionally, you will be expected to interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address their concerns, and exhibit a high degree of tact and courtesy when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Training and orienting new hires, students, and trainees will also be part of your responsibilities.
