About the position

Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Licensed MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel healthcare assignment in Bay Shore, NY. The role involves operating MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform patient studies according to set protocols, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality.
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address their concerns.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients during procedures.
• Orient and train new hires, MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements

• Two years of continuous recent experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Valid license in the required state.
• BLS certification.
• Proficiency in MRI procedures and knowledge of required protocols.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a clinical area; EP preferred.
