Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic travel MRI Technologist for a contract assignment in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This position is designed for individuals who are licensed MRI Technologists and have a passion for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The role involves operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. The MRI Technologist will work under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, with the opportunity to exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing related technological functions. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks, with a shift schedule of 12 hours per night, specifically 3x12 nights. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of continuous recent experience as an MRI Technologist, working a minimum of twenty hours per week. Proficiency in MRI procedures and knowledge of required protocols is essential for this role. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for ensuring optimal diagnostic quality of patient care while utilizing efficient and safe processes. In addition to technical skills, the MRI Technologist will be expected to interview patients to explain the MRI procedures, address any concerns, and maintain a high degree of tact and courtesy when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Safety is a top priority, and the technologist will ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including monitoring patients and alerting staff to any potential hazards. The role also includes orienting and training new hires, students, and trainees in MRI technology.
