Focus Staff is currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic Licensed MRI Technologist for a contract assignment in Lebanon, NH. This position is temporary, lasting for 13 weeks, and involves working night shifts on a 5x8 schedule. The ideal candidate will thrive in a friendly, positive, and professional environment, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity towards patients while maintaining a high level of efficiency and attention to detail. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, the technologist will perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care, utilizing efficient and safe processes. The role requires the technologist to perform patient studies according to set protocols, including placing specified coils close to the area of interest. The technologist will operate imaging and other equipment devices to provide quality diagnostic services, which includes keying commands to specify scan sequences into the computer, adjusting transmitters and receivers, and entering data on the camera's keyboard to photograph images. Additionally, the technologist will interview patients to explain MRI procedures, addressing any concerns they may have, and will exhibit a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Ensuring patient and staff safety is paramount, which includes explaining safety protocols, requesting the removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed circuit TV. The technologist will also be responsible for orienting new hires and training MRI Technologist students and trainees.
