The Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist position involves preparing patients for testing by administering radioactive drugs and operating imaging equipment. The technologist will work under the supervision of a physician in various healthcare settings, including hospitals and diagnostic labs, and will be responsible for patient education, record-keeping, and ensuring the safe administration of radioactive materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for nuclear medicine tests by administering radioactive drugs.
  • Educate patients about the procedures and what to expect during testing.
  • Operate imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols when handling radioactive materials.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a relevant setting and specialty.
  • ARRT/NMTCB Certification.
  • BLS Certification (AHA).
  • Current state license (if applicable).
