Source Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate travel nurse RN specializing in Dialysis for a travel nursing position in Bakersfield, California. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. The successful candidate will float between four hospitals in the Bakersfield/Kern County area, ensuring that each facility is adequately staffed to meet patient needs. The position requires flexibility, as the nurse will be on call when needed, demonstrating a commitment to patient care and teamwork. The start date for this position is set for August 1, 2024, and the contract duration is 13 weeks, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, typically consisting of 8-hour shifts during the day. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
  • Float between four hospitals in the Bakersfield/Kern County area as needed.
  • Be on call when required to ensure adequate staffing and patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in California.
  • Experience in dialysis nursing is preferred.
  • Ability to float between multiple facilities as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work on call and adapt to changing schedules.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in dialysis nursing (e.g., CNN, CDN).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
