About the position

Nurse First is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN specializing in the Electrophysiology Lab for a travel nursing position in Winchester, Virginia. This role is designed for a registered nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care in a specialized setting. The position is full-time, with a commitment of 40 hours per week, typically structured around 10-hour shifts during the day. The assignment is set to begin on June 24, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in the Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of Virginia or compact state license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an Electrophysiology Lab or similar setting.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electrophysiology procedures and equipment.
  • Previous travel nursing experience.
  • Certification in electrophysiology nursing (CRN) is a plus.
